The booklet Tsa Lung – Tibetan Yoga: Exercises 2 continues the publication of tsa lung exercises as taught in the Drikung tradition by Lama Kunsang and is again based on the introductory volume Tsa Lung – Tibetan Yoga.
The introductory chapter is called “The Four Foundations of Mindfulness”. It contains teachings from Lama Kunsang on this subject based on their interpretation by Dharma-Lord Gampopa.
As in the first exercise booklet, the second chapter “Introduction to the Exercises” considers the topics to be followed in every tsa lung practice. They are extended by an explanation of the relation between taking refuge in the lineage of the gurus and bodhicitta.
The part with the exercises contains five valleys in continuous enumeration with respect to the first exercise booklet:
5. Valley of Tsa Lung: contains three “Wind-Balancing Exercises” for purification and invigoration of the five root winds.
6. Valley of Tsa Lung: contains the “Five Dhyani-Buddhas Exercises” for the taming of the five mental poisons or their transformation into the corresponding wisdoms, respectively.
7. Valley of Tsa Lung: contains the “Wisdom Eye-Opening Exercise” for opening the wisdom eyes and generating a protection into the ten directions.
8. Valley of Tsa Lung: contains the three “Heart-Protection Exercises” as a protection against the maras.
9. Valley of Tsa Lung: contains the “Dong-mo Exercise” as a protection against fear and as an overcoming of hatred by demonstrating and experiencing of one’s own strength.
